While waiting for the beautiful days to return, we adopt a cozy decor that will bring a little softness and warmth to our interior! We use decorative objects for this, you guessed it, in felt which have the considerable advantage of being green to offer you a healthy interior. Zoom on this material and tips for use!
What is felt?
It is an ancestral craft material obtained from boiled sheep wool. The friction of wool in soap and water makes it possible to obtain a very soft non-spun texture which is particularly appreciated when the thermometer goes down because it will give an impression of warmth to the decoration. The good news is that the felt is ecological since it does not require chemical treatment for its transformation and that it is obtained from a natural material.
How to use the felt to warm the house?
Nothing easier ! Indeed, a few felt objects distilled in your decor will give a very pleasant cocooning feeling thanks to the soft texture of the felt. You will find cushions to install on the sofa, rugs to use as a bed drop or even objects like pencil holders, magazine racks or even very playful balls to place on a piece of furniture as a trinket of softness. In terms of color, choose enveloping shades for winter decor. We think of gray, black or natural colors. But if you want a little cheerfulness without denying the sweetness, you can also opt for pretty pastel colors.
